Developer Red Earth has planning permission to put up three apartment blocks, each five storeys high, on the banks of the River Torridge in Bideford.
Morgan Sindall Construction has been appointed to build the £20m Brunswick Wharf development, which will include a restaurant and six retail units as well as more than 100 apartments,
The scheme will also have a new riverside walk linked to a public open square, and a shared cycle and pedestrian route that links to North Devon’s Tarka Trail.

This milestone follows a thorough tendering process and marks a major step forward for the regeneration of this iconic riverside site.
