Steve Elliott is possibly the UK’s most successful crane salesman of the 21st Century, having sold more than 700 cranes with a value of more than £460m over the past 16 years.
Elliott joined Liebherr Great Britain in 2001 as a service administrator and technical support for the mobile crane department. After various support roles he moved into sales in 2009 as sales manager for mobile cranes.
Following his retirement, sales manager Lyle Sibbald will extend his Scottish territory to include northwest England and northwest Wales. The remaining area will be managed by sales manager Paul Goodall, covering from North Yorkshire to Devon and Cornwall. Both Sibbald and Goodall will be responsible for the Liebherr-Werk Ehingen’s product range, including wheeled mobile cranes, MK truck-mounted tower cranes, crawler cranes above 500 tonnes capacity and telescopic crawler cranes. In the UK, the Liebherr-Werk Nenzing (LWN) product range, including crawler cranes under 500 tonnes, duty cycle crawler cranes, piling rigs and drilling rigs, will now be covered by sales manager Alex Burt.
The changes take effect on 2nd June 2025.
