Andy Stewart joined Bancon Homes in 2021 as head of design and technical and is credited with having strengthening the internal design team, enhancing project control and driving design quality.
A qualified architect and certified Passivhaus designer, he previously spent several years in private practice, specialising in masterplans and complex brownfield developments for both private housebuilders and affordable housing providers. His clients included Bancon Homes.
As technical and planning director, Stewart will lead Bancon’s design and planning function from concept through to planning approval.
“I’m excited to continue working with the team to bring our projects to life,” he said of his new role. “Sustainable design has always been a key interest of mine, and I look forward to incorporating more environmentally responsible practices into our developments to create even better homes.”
Managing director Jamie Tosh added: “Andy has been a vital part of our team since 2021, helping to evolve our design practices and achieve our strategic goals. As director, he will play a key role at board level, shaping our future growth and development.”
