Exo Supplies specialises in resin-bound and decorate aggregates for driveways and landscaping. Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates produces Daltex Resin Bound and has a Daltex trade centre in Bridgend.
Derbyshire acquisition of Exo Supplies, completed on 7th April, strengthens the presence of Daltex in south Wales.
Exo Supplies director John Harris will manage the new combined operation in south Wales and join as business development director for the region. He has 15 years’ experience in the resin bound industry and has previously worked for Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates.
Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates managing director Sam Buckley said: “This investment was an easy decision for us. Following the acquisition of Resins R Us [last October], this considerable investment allows us the opportunity to extend the Resins R Us model. From an operational level, the opportunity to offer resin bound customers a bespoke delivery service – unmatched by competitors – was a critical factor. Equally important to us is the fact that we are welcoming John back to Derbyshire Aggregates.”
John Harris added: ““Exo Supplies has enjoyed great success since its establishment in 2021. With the resin bound market continuing to grow exponentially as a surfacing solution, having the backing of a true resin and stone manufacturer will give us a real platform to grow the business and expand our bespoke delivery service into other areas.”
Cardiff becomes Derbyshire Aggregates’ 10th site across the UK including the head office and main production facility in Derbyshire, Daltex Central Hub in Ashbourne, Daltex Trade Centres in Brighouse and Bridgend, Daltex South West Hub in Stalbridge, Dorset and Resins R Us in Norwich as well as a slate plant in Bangor, North Wales and dock facilities in Mersey Wharf and Goole.
