John Graham Construction is building the first three blocks of the Dyecoats scheme in Kirkstall for Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group.
The £100m development will comprise 600 new homes in total.
Phase one of the scheme will deliver 434 new homes, including 100 for social rent and 138 for shared ownership. The wider development will also include a new food hall and public realm with a new footbridge over the River Aire.
Latimer managers were joined by local politicians on 25th April to celebrate the start of site works. With foundations now going in, Dyecoats is set to become one of the most significant regeneration projects in the region.
Richard Cook, chief development officer at Clarion Housing Group, said: “The Dyecoats development exemplifies what Latimer is here to do by bring forward transformative regeneration that delivers affordable, high-quality homes and long-term value for communities.”
Stephen Van den Hoek, regional director of main contractor Graham, added: “This is a development that not only delivers high-quality, sustainable housing but also puts social value and long-term community benefit at its core. It’s a privilege to be part of a project with such far-reaching impact.”
