Property and regeneration specialist Hargreaves Land has revealed plans for Forge Point, a 77-acre (31-hectare) employment park near to junction 3 of the M180 in Scunthorpe.

The site, which has capacity for 959,300 sq ft of new development, forms part of a strategic mixed-use area set out in the adopted Lincolnshire Lakes Area Action Plan. The plan supports the development of a range of uses including a high-tech business park, offices and a hotel.

In 2023 receivers from Watling Real Estate entered into a joint venture agreement with Hargreaves Land to develop Forge Point, as part of 550 acres of the Lincolnshire Lakes scheme.

At Forge Point Hargreaves Land is offering design & build opportunities as well as individual plot sales. It has appointed marketing agents to promote the opportunities.

Brady Harrison, development surveyor at Hargreaves Land, said: “We are thrilled to bring Forge Point to the market and thereby offering a range of development opportunities for investors, developers and owner occupiers. As part of the wider Lincolnshire Lakes development, which is one of the largest residential development opportunities in the UK, businesses based at Forge Point will benefit from access to a new community of over 6,000 homes, alongside a range of retail and leisure offerings.”
