CFA Institute strongly opposes the defunding and merging of the PCAOB into the SEC, as proposed in Section 50002 of the House Reconciliation Bill. In our letter, we remind lawmakers of the vital importance of strong oversight of audits of financial statements and related disclosures, which investors use to make investment decisions.
