Wakefield-based Thurston Group has appointed Dan Pollard to take charge of its manufacturing facilities.
He brings more than 25 years of experience working in the modular manufacturing industry. Just in the past 10 years he has been factory manager of Eco Modular Homes, head of manufacturing at Ideal Modular Homes, head of manufacturing at Urban Splash, production director of ESS Modular and production director of Elements Europe
“I’m delighted to be joining Thurston, in the midst of what is a pivotal time for the company,” Pollard said. “I’ll be working work with the executive leadership team to drive operational excellence in the business, by building on the ongoing efforts to bring our production capabilities to the next level through modernisation and upscaling.”
He continued: “My focus is on driving greater efficiency through increased productivity, smarter use of technology and waste reduction. My global experience in the modular construction industry will support the continued scaling of our operations, enhancing both our manufacturing capabilities and the solutions we deliver across a wide range of sectors.”

Founded in 1970, Thurston Group achieved a record turnover of £51m for the year ending October 2023.
