Torsion Care is the division of Torsion Group that specialises in developing and constructing care homes and retirement living apartments.
Since its inception in 2019, Torsion Care has delivered 423 care bedrooms across seven schemes and 264 retirement living apartments. The business has also secured a pipeline of 448 additional units, with a future pipeline of 1,898 beds and apartments, representing a total gross development value (GDV) of £364m.
Last year Torsion Care acquired six new schemes and delivered four care homes and two retirement living schemes.
Martin Hutson has been appointed chief executive of both Torsion Care and Torsion Projects, its main contracting operation. He was previously managing director of Torsion Care.
John Currie remains managing director while Ian Ward has been promoted to managing director of Torsion Care.

Following Torsion Care’s expansion across the Midlands and into the south, it has also promoted Chris Burns from land director to investment & acquisitions director.
